Zara Summer Arrivals
Zara Summer 2025: My recent order, trending pieces, and how I’m styling them
I just did a little Zara summer order, and as I was checking out, I realized most of what landed in my cart felt very familiar. In a good way. I noticed there are definitely a few trends making their way back this summer, but they feel softer, more wearable, and most important, mom-friendly.
Here’s what I grabbed, what’s trending again, and how I plan to style it all:
Platform Shoes Are Fully Back
As a 5'1 girlie, oh the excitement I felt when I saw platform shoes all over the models. I’ve always been a platform shoe girl, ever since I started wearing heels.
I added both the brown platform heels and the wood wedge sandals to my cart. Platforms have been creeping back in for a few seasons, but right now they feel practical again.
It reminds me a lot of what we saw in the early 2000s, but the styles feel much more polished now. I’ve been noticing a lot of designers pairing these shoes with really feminine dresses. I was on the Hill House Home site the other day and noticed so many of their dresses styled with chunky platforms. It gives the look a nice balance of feminine and trendy, and it feels really wearable for summer.
Soft, Feminine Knits
I can never get enough of these knit sweaters. In the winter I wear them all the time because they’re easy to grab, pull on, and feel put together. I grabbed the white short sleeve peplum knit and the pink tweed-style short sleeve cardigan. Peplum tops have been making a slow appearance again. Nothing huge, but I’ve definitely been seeing them pop up more in fashion lately.
Both of these feel very French-inspired and easy to throw on with denim or layered over a dress. Simple but still pulled together.
Polka Dots
The black and white polka dot dress instantly went into my cart. Polka dots always seem to circle back in. This time they feel playful but still very classic.
Years ago, I had a brown polka dot jumper that I wore constantly. It’s wild to see the pattern already making a comeback. Just a reminder to hold onto your favorite pieces!
Relaxed Denim
I’m slowly trending away from high-waist denim. Not sure if it’s just how my body feels after three babies, but I’ve noticed the high waist seems to exaggerate my stomach area. I’ve seen a few posts on social media from other girls and all the comments said the same thing: try mid-rise denim. So I’m starting to get more mid-rise pieces.
I grabbed the light wash wide-leg denim for summer. I wanted a relaxed pair of denim that looked good with a tee but could also be paired with a feminine top. Hoping the length works. I’ll be sure to let you know.
Cut-Out & Draped Dresses
I go back and forth with cut-out dresses. They can be a little limiting depending on where I’m going or how modest I want to be, but this satin midi dress felt perfect for our trip to Miami.
The style is still around this season, but the newer versions feel more subtle and updated. Just a peek of skin, which makes it easy for vacation or a summer date night.
Stripes & Coastal Style
Simple, yet practical. I also added the striped tank and striped cardigan. The nautical vibes are still going strong this summer. They’re easy, timeless, and work with everything.
I’ll wear these with denim shorts, white jeans, or even layered over a swimsuit for a simple poolside look.
Woven Accessories
I’m so excited about this little brown woven bag. The gold hardware is beautiful. Natural textures like raffia, straw, and woven leathers are everywhere right now. And I’ve been seeing a lot more brown lately, which feels like a nice shift from all the beige or black bags I usually reach for.
This one feels elevated with the gold detail but still super casual and easy for summer.
Coral Pops of Color (That Feel Designer-Inspired)
The coral swimsuit (also love the green bikini top and bottom) was a fun pop of color in an otherwise neutral cart. The crinkle fabric reminds me of the Hunza G swimsuits that have been everywhere the past few years.
We’re seeing coral, red, and orange shades pop up again in swimwear and resort collections. It feels like just enough color for summer.
HOW I’LL STYLE IT ALL:
Striped tank + wide leg jeans + flat sandals for everyday.
Rust cut-out dress + platforms for date night.
Pink cardigan + denim + flat sandals for coffee or lunch.
Polka dot dress + flat sandals for the weekend.
Coral swimsuit + striped cardigan as a cover-up for pool days.
I’ll be trying everything on over on Instagram Stories today. If you want to see how it all looks and fits in real life, head over there. I’ll be sharing my full try-on and a few ways I’m styling each piece.
One other update, the Zara Summer Sale 2025 is almost here. From what I heard, it usually starts online around June 25, with some early access happening in the app. This is one of their biggest sales of the year, and things sell out fast. If you’ve had your eye on anything, now’s the time to get your cart ready. I’ll be sharing my favorite picks once the sale goes live, along with any restocks I spot. Make sure you’re following along so you don’t miss my full sale roundup!
