The Things We’re Actually Using (Amazon Edition)
A look at what I added to my cart in June and what turned out to be family favorites.
Now that I’m home with the kids for summer, I find myself going to the store less and ordering a few more things on Amazon. Some of these were recommendations from friends, others were late-night scrolls, but they’re all things we’re loving and using this month.
What I’m Wearing
An easy black lounge set I’ve been wearing for errands and lounging around the house. It’s lightweight, comfy, and under $35! I love that it still looks pulled together enough to be out and about with the kids.
Ordered this striped shorts set for upcoming travel but I’m already reaching for it at home. It’s one of those easy pieces you can throw on for hot days but still feel put together. Great for summer!
You all loved this lounge set I posted last weekend. It feels a little more elevated than most sets I own. Perfect for casual days and I love how soft and comfy it is. It is great for road trips!
Grabbed this neutral linen maxi dress for a casual summer dinner but I’ll definitely wear it for poolside nights or weekend get-togethers. Lightweight, flowy, and flattering. Under $40.
These taupe flip flops are similar to Teeks and have quickly become my go-to for errands, pool days, and backyard time. So simple but surprisingly comfortable.
Beauty
The humidity has officially arrived and this anti-frizz spray is saving my hair. I spray it on damp hair and it keeps everything smooth and shiny, even on sticky days. One of my favorite hair products, along with the Bumble and Bumble heat protectant.
Our favorite facial cleanser, especially for summer. My skin always gets a little more sensitive in the heat and this gel-to-foam cleanser has been perfect. It feels lightweight but still leaves my skin really clean.
Just added this lash primer into my routine. It makes a huge difference under mascara. My lashes look so much fuller without clumping and I love that it feels super lightweight.
Lately I’ve been doing my nails at home, and these short almond-shaped gel-x nails have been a game changer. Linking all my Amazon nail must-haves here.
Home
A repurchase from our first home. We just added these solar lights to the front yard. We’re always getting asked where we got them. I love that they’re low profile and shine light directly onto the house. They’re such a good addition to our front yard landscaping.
We also added a set of these solar Fence Lights to our back fence and they give a little extra ambiance to the backyard at night. They’re super easy to install.
Now that we cleared out our storage unit, I finally have all of the linens in one place and decided to tackle the linen closet. These bed sheet organizer bands make it so much easier to keep everything sorted by size. . Set of 12 for $14.99
Kids
Rainbow sandals are hands down the best summer sandals for kids. Sebastian wore his for two summers and they’re still in great shape. He passed his pair down to Hugo and we grabbed a new pair for him. The boys love them and I love that they’re easy for them to slip on and get out the door. I tend to go up one size in sandals for the kids.
Sebastian and Hugo’s 4th of July shirts this year are from Vineyard Vines. I love that they have red, white and navy options. I grabbed navy so I’ll spend a little less time scrubbing chocolate ice cream out of their shirts this summer. They’re festive but simple enough that they’ll wear them all season long. Currently on sale for $26, was $29.
A friend from school told me about these sneakers and I grabbed them in both red and grey. I find myself constantly buying new sneakers, so I stocked up on these lightweight, breathable ones that are perfect for park days and backyard play. The boys can easily slip them on themselves and they’re only $34.
Baby
Found so many adorable rompers for the 4th of July. This white smocked romper is a favorite, I love the bows on the red one, and this adorable blue plaid romper just arrived and will be perfect for photos. I’ve realized that rompers and bubbles are the best for her right now, especially since she’s still crawling. She can’t really crawl or climb stairs in her cute dresses or long tops, so these make it easy for her to move around and still look adorable.
These everyday bubble rompers are perfect for hot days when we’re playing outside. I grabbed one in light taupe stripes and another in ivory blue floral, both 100% cotton. I ordered a few different styles from Modern Moments and I’m so glad I did because they fit her perfectly and are super soft.
We finally added the pink Cozy Coupe to Sophia’s first birthday list. I can’t wait for this to arrive and plan on giving it a little makeover. She’s going to love it once she starts walking. I still can’t believe she’s turning one in just a month.
We are all about sun protection in this house, so I had to get this adorable straw sun hat. I love that it can be tied since she’s not the biggest fan of hats. It’s lightweight but gives great sun protection for pool days and stroller walks.
I love putting these round-ups together and plan to share them about once a month as new things come in. Personally, I love seeing what other people order from Amazon, so it’s fun to share what we’re actually using and loving too.
